Berca Mud Volcanoes

Berca Mud Volcanoes are a geological and botanical reservation that can be found in Berca Buzau Romania.
It is the most wonderful kind of mud volcanoes which is small volcano-shaped structures with few metres high caused by the eruption of mud and natural gases. The mud volcanoes are creating a unusual lunar landscape from th absence of vegetation around the cones. Vegetation is scarce because the soil is very salty , an environmental condition in which few plants can survive. When the gases erupt from 3000 metres deep towards the surface hey push up underground salty water and mud and it overflow through the mouths of the volcanoes while the gas emerges as bubbles.
